I have had oral sex with 5 diffrent guys and my friends say that i should get checked bc u can catch the same stuff from oral sex as actuall intercourse is this true and what should i be concered about?

The simple answer is: Yes, you may very well get an STD with having oral sex(fellatio). The most common STD transmitted by oral sex is: Herpes. Though I won't go into the medical jargon that deeply, here are a few facts on that specific STD. Herpes comes in different forms. One form is more prevalently associated with oral sex, while the other is more commonly known to be associated primarily as intercourse transmitted. However with all STDs, we see something interesting here. You can be infected with the intercourse type even though you only have oral sex. In fact, many diseases can transmit themselves from one part of one partner's body, to a partner's body(besides the sexual organs). This is why oral sex is every bit as a risk-taking behavior as sexual intercourse.

Yes - You can get various STD's through Oral sex. In this day an age this is not something you should do lightly. If this is something that you truly enjoy, either you need to stay with one partner, or use oral condoms. It is the safest thing for you and your partners.
Please go and see a doctor and get a swab done to rule out any possible diseases, and future issues.

Yes this is correct. Generally speaking STD's are transmitted through the mucous membranes of one person to another. Your mouth has mucous memebranes in it, therefore if one of the men was infected with herpes for instance, even if the sexual act happened when he did not have an outbreak, you could have contracted it. I suggest that you see a doctor or go to a sexual testing clinic and be tested. And perhaps in the future you may also want to be sure to use a barrier method when engaging in sexual activity for your sake and the sake of others.

you are having sex with the person they did it with...earlier...
how many women did the guys have sex with before the had sex with you....have they had sexual disease before and how many times did they get something...
It's like putting a bullet in a hand gun and spining the camber and putting next to your head..and pull the trigger...soon or later...you'll lose...

yes your friends are right you can catch any std that you would get from intercourse. it will be difficult to tell if you have one if you don't have any symptoms but it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to planned parenthood and get tested. you will probably get tested for free or a discount if you are a teen.
