You gotta put a CD in the microwave. Like, a blank burner CD that isn't worth any thing or a piece of sh-t scratched one. It's .5 seconds of pure enjoyment of a great light show. Like watching every possible track jump into the air and burn away in a flash of lightning.

Actually, though they are not food, CDs make a fair amount of colours as well as sparks when put in the microwave! It's not too dangerous, but be careful, though....

Anything with moisture contained within a shell or a skin will explode: beans, unpopped popcorn, tomatoes, some nuts.

try putting empty potato chip bags in the microwave. it makes them shrink and then it looks kinda cool. although i think its dangerous cuz of all the sparking it creates...

Try a big firecracker, just step waaaaaaay back.
