No, although some people have developed Kaposi's Sarcoma, a previously rare form of cancer that has brown spots as a symptom. But the lack of these spots doesn't mean the person does not have AIDS, or is not HIV positive.

I dont have HIV, but someone Im close to does. There are a few visual signs of being HIV positive, and these include a rash on your body that will not go away ( he had this sign 1 year before he was diagnosed) night sweats ( when you wake up at night and your sweating) Thrush on the tongue ( a creamy, milky white thick substance)a persistent cough, although thats not a visual sign. Swollen lymph nodes on the back of your neck. As for when they show up, its hard to say. We have no idea when he became infected. You can remain without symptoms sometimes up to 10 years, or so they say. Usually after the virus has entered the body, some people report having had a small fever about 24 to 48 hrs later. The only sure fire way to know if you have it is to get tested. Dont wait until symptoms start, because your immune system is being destroyed each day by this virus. when he found out he had it, his t cell count was only 4, he was literally knocking on deaths door. Normal t cell count is around 1200. Its been 3 years now and his t cell count is up to 200, but thats all, along with a whole host of other problems.

In the latter stages of AIDS, some people are suseptible to a certain type of skin cancer called Kaposi's Sarcoma. It is due to the vulnerability of their immune system. These usually appear 5-7 years, if at all, during the course of AIDS. These are bluish-black spots all over the body.

Interestingly, one can now go years carrying the aids virus before anything appears (Kaposi's sarcoma, etc.) Also interestingly, the aids virus is not as aggressive as it once was. In the 1980's, I had a friend who got it and was dead in 6 months.... That is now rare, and with meds, it will become just a pesky inconvenience,,,, and expensive one, a sickening one, but look at Magic Johnson, as opposed to Rock Hudson... (This is not to minimize AIDS --- nor its treatment.... it is still a horrible disease, even when it is under control......)
The message here is if you are sleeping around, and you are not using condoms, you are at significant risk of getting the disease from someone who doesn't even know he/she is carrying it.

nicely, when you further that damaging countries subject... there is a lot that may no longer being considered at that remark. by skill of lots, I advise custom, in particular. as an occasion, there's a decision in Zimbabwe for "dry intercourse" without condom. it is previous a decision, and is very almost a social... taboo, to no longer. There additionally won't be sufficient get right of entry to to healthcare, and in one occasion i will think of of needless to say it fairly is concerning poverty. There are women individuals who've babies, and be attentive to they're HIV effective. a baby is typically born without HIV, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it is the breast milk that does them in. women individuals be attentive to this, yet haven't any get right of entry to to different milk or formula. Did I point out a societal occurrence of promiscuity? And, rather importantly, there is the stupid theory that only prostitutes and "grimy" people have HIV. this is... a huge one. wish I helped, even nevertheless I rambled.

the h.i.v virus that is the precursor to aids can remain dormant for years without any visible symptoms....its best to get a std test to determine whether or not an individual has the virus.

THEY DO LOSE ALOT OF WEIGHT AND HAVE SUNKEN IN EYES AND HAVE THE LOOK OF AIDS BUT NOT HIV. THEY SOME TIMES HAVE NO SIGNS. YOU CANT ALWAYS TELL WHO IS SICK. I HAVE HEPITITIS C AND I AM THE PICTURE OF HEALTH.
