Farting or is the result of swallowing "air' when we eat,eating "gassy" food's like some vegetables ,beans etc. It's a normal function of the large intestine.Just think what could happen if you couldn't ! SW RNP

It's not unhealthy. It could mean, however, that you are intolerant to a certain food. If you are continually passing gas or have diarrhea or are constipated, you could be lactose intolerant for example, or have Irritable Bowel Syndrome---another example.

farting is actually healthy but TOO much may mean there is a gastrointesyinal disorder

no i dont think so. Farting is good because it is releasing the gas trapped in your body. It is also funny as well depending on who you are around and how loud it can be =)
