I'm planning a surprise party for my parents. How can I get them out of the hosue so I can prepare everything?

You will probably have to enlist the help of someone else unless they attend some community functions or something that you can lie and say they are having a meeting about something at such and such a time to get them out for a while. This will only work till they find out therre is no meeting tho, so HURRY if you go this route. You could give them dinner on you at a rest. unless you are planning dinner at the house too. Maybe YOU can take them for a drive to show them something and get lost for a few minutes while someone else sets it up for you. ANYONE can make a wrong turn when looking for something.
Have it set up somewhere else and get them there.

Depending what time you want the party but you could
shout them to a meal or a movie making sure they will be home in time for the surprise or if thats no good get them to someones house to help them out somehow

pretend youre too busy getting the house together like laundry and all and simply ask if theyll do u a favor and go to the grocery store and get a few groceries. thatll get em outta the house for a few minutes. expand it from there.

i would call like a relative and have them invite your parents over for a meal, or just to hang out and catch up. then make sure that thye keep them there for a long time...

that is what i would do.

Have one of your other relatives take them out to lunch and shopping or movies. Maybe they can go over another relative's house for lunch.

send them out to eat and pay for it, send another family member with them who knows they have to be back at a certain time , and you trust to return them at that time.
