I have a humidifer and a vaporizer which one do i use to keep us from getting all dryed out while the heat is on ??

In addition to the humidifier...depending on how cold it gets where you live you might also try what we did during the winters in Wyoming.

Lower the heat, use extra blankets (layered blankets vs a single think blanket keeps the cold out just as wearing layered clothing) and switch from regular linen sheets to flannel sheets. Honest, I didn't believe it until a friend of ours told us this during our 1st winter in Jackson Hole, WY.

Just a suggestion.

Humidifier. Good tip: the filters need to be cleaned/changed periodically because they can grow mildew and other respitory irritants.

I have the same problem...and use a small "personal" fan to keep cooler air passing over me
