Honestly, all the tequila grown in Mexico is organic. They dont use pesticides for their agave. The reason I know is because a few years ago I went to Tequila, Mexico and they took us through the whole prcocess, from where the blue agave is grown, to how is cultivated and fermented and to be honest its pretty organic.
One of the reasons pesticide is not use its because the agave will absorb it therefore contaminated it an unable to be used.
So who ever is marketing it as Organic is trying to make a buck out of it, cause all of it is Organice, Just stay away from Cuervo, I mean its organic an all it just hasn't been fermented long enough thats why it taste like gasoline.

Why would it not make sense? Organic means the Agave plant from which we derive tequila was grown without the use of pesticides and in a way that saves this planet rather than destroy it.

It makes great sense.

Most people pick over their food and want only organic, but don't even think about their coffee. They troop on in to Starbucks for the $4 cup of coffee and never stop to think about all the pesticides it carries.
