my cheeks were flushed with red, they still are hours later.
I still have a really sore throat, but I'm wondering why my cheeks would be red? I was tested for strep, it came out negative.
Does anyone know if this is common?

It could be the Azithromycin. Call your doctor and let him/her know what is going on.

Sounds like an allergic reaction. You need to check with your doctor. People are frequently allergic to penicillin (very common) and other antibiotics. Your doctor's choice of medication may have been motivated by knowledge of resistant strains and didn't know you (and probably you didn't know either) that you were allergic to the Myacin family of antibiotics.

You need to call your doctor and make sure you are not allergic to the presription. If your not happy with him get a second opinion. remember that doctors get cash for signing with prescription companies, what wrong with good ole penicilin?
