We seem to not even scratching the surface of the problem whereas we need to understand the crux of it! We also have to honestly address ourselves to the root causes rather than the resultant effects. PREVENTION IS THE ONLY WAY!

Having oral, anal and vaginal sex without protection of someone who is infected with HIV/AIDS.
Receiving a blood transfusion with someone's blood that was infected with HIV/AIDS (blood is scanned for this virus nowadays)
Sharing drug needles with someone who has HIV/AIDS and/or using used drug needles.
Coming in contact with someone else's blood who is infected with HIV/AIDS

HIV+AIDS is caused by unsafe sex relationship. Unsafe sex relations means sex with HIV affected person.
Other cause is blood transfusion.

stupidity is the root cause in those that acquire it through sexual intercourse...the rest happen on accident. (hemodialysis patients, those receiving blood) ((yes, it does happen on occassion, but rarely these days)).
