Potato skins, meat and cheese platter, veggie platter, bbq chicken wings, nachos, egg rolls, deviled eggs, mini cheesecakes, spinach dip in a sourdough bread bowl with the bread cubes around it, crab puffs, it all works.

Ok, healthy has its time and place.. and Superbowl party is not it's time or place! LOL.. I have a suggestion for you, an amazingly easy and plentiful recipe for Italian nachos.
You need:
bag of tortilla chips
jar of alfredo sauce (5 brothers or bertoli are best)
package of shredded mozzarella cheese
spicy or sweet italian sausages
Olive oil and garlic
easy to make:
Remove sausage from casing (squeeze it out like toothpaste)
brown sausage with olive oil and garlic in saute pan
pour off oil
Set oven to about 400... preheat it: you want it HOT, so itll melt the cheese quickly without causing soggy chips or burnt edges...
So, place chips on a flat cookie sheet
layer some sausage on, pour a good amount of alfredo sauce on top ( not too much, you dont want it liquidy) Add some more sausage, then some mozzarella, Continue to layer until you are happy with the amount.. then add the remaining Mozzarella to the top to cover.
Bake for 5-10 mins.. KEEP and eye out tho, when the cheese melts it is done, if the edges start to brown, it's beginning to get over done.
Serve ALL by itself, its a satisfying, decadent version of the "same ole-same old" nachos that everyone else will be serving! Hope it works out for ya
Oh ya, total cook time is less than 15 mins.. Great for halftime!
(Ive decided to go international for my party.. this year I am making homemade sushi... Rediculously easy to make really.. if you think you're guests are adventurous enough to try the "nori" (seaweed)... if so, go to any asian specialty grocery store and get a bamboo sushi roller, some NORI seaweed wraps, some Sushi sticky rice ( called American Koshihikari rice) and whatever you want to place inside (stick to cooked shrimp, avocado, or crab meat..)

Make a big pot of chili and set up a self serve chili bar. If you want to start with vegetarian bean chili, and have a variety of toppings. People can keep going back and trying new combos. And it's super easy for you! Make everythingin advance and then just heat the chili and cook the meat on the day of. Topping ideas: cooked hamburger or grilled steak tips, grilled chicken, cheeses (queso blanco, monterey jack, cheddar) chiles, chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, cilantro, salsa, scallions, lime wedges, sour cream or plain yogurt, chopped avocado or guacamole and tortilla chips. Make a big pitcher of virgin margaritas, let people splash in their own tequilla, and have traditional chips, dips, veggies, hummus, fruit and cheese available for muching. Don't forget a tray of brownies for dessert. :) have fun!

Most of us menopausal women and 50 something men are looking out for our health these days, so you might want to focus on healthy fare for all. A vege platter with a low fat ranch or dill dip is a good place to start. Chicken skewers made from boneless, skinless chicken breasts marinated in light Italian dressing overnight and then grilled are good. Try a lighter version of hot artichoke dip by substituting fat-free mayonaise and combining the parmesan with fat free or low fat Italian blend cheese. Bake and serve with baked blue-corn tortilla chips. Fresh fruit kabobs are good with a yogurt dip. Tortilla chips and salsa, dips made with fat free sour cream and served with whole grain crackers are good as well. If you're going for chili, try the turkey or chicken or vegetarian ones.
