not to a healthy person, but years ago they wouldn't let patients that had heart attacks have ice water, it was thought to cause a possible arrythmia, or irregular heart beat. If someone goes to the ER with an irregular heart beat, one thing they can try is 'ice water submersion' to try to shock the person and then the heart back into synch.

Yes, it harms by causing coronary constriction's, but also major to minor spasm of bronchus. At the same time it effects the esophagus and stomach. Any way excess of any thing is bad.

ice water, hot water any water....never gets anywhere near your heart as it passes through your system.
It will slowly absorb into your body, but by that time it's already going to be 98.6 degrees.
water is water, unless it's saltwater.

no it doesn't...bathing in it for longer than a few minutes might though...you may get hypothermia lol
