It's just choices of life.
I'm allergic to meat, and I'm Buddhist (and definitely not for a trend), and wouldn't eat meat if forced to (I've eaten meat as a kid, I liked it, but am allergic and anyway find it immoral).
If I had children I'd feed them whatever is good for their health when they're to young to chose on their own, and then let them decide for themselves which religion, food, etc they prefer, telling them all they need to know before making a choice.

Anyway, forcing someone to eat something they do not want to eat isn't a good way of making your point. Think of someone forcing you to eat tofu or something else you hate or don't want to eat... I doubt it would get you to appreciate their lifestyle, so the other way around wouldn't be anything but an offense.

I am the only one in my home that is a vegetarian. I would never force my kid to change his diet just because I did. I'd rather see him eat meat and get the protein he needs from it while he's young. Also being a vegetarian is not a horrible lifestyle!

I think looking at your body shape I can't blame people for being vegan. Maybe you just one of the uneducated or couch potato who does not have enough time to read up on how to lead a healthy life with a vegan diet.

Why do you join a vegan/vegetarian forum just to hurl insults on vegans/vegetarians? Don't you have anything better to do? Did the livestock and meat-packing industries send you?

You're trying to force your lifestyle on someone else by making him eat meat. It might not be his parents doing, he could have chosen to be a vegan himself and you should respect that.

Being vegan is not a horrible thing!!!! It's simply a matter of personal choice.

Not my choice, however. MEAT AND CHEESE ARE DELICIOUS!

It would be wrong of you to circumvent what his parents have chosen as the right path for him.

We all force horrible lifestyles on our kids - that's what being a parent is. We use our best estimations of what constitutes "good" to raise our children in the manner we decide is "best" for them.

We all scar our kids for life - it's what parents do!
