For the past couple of weeks I have noticed some problems with my breathing. They are not usually bad but occassionally they hit me for an instance with some dizziness (this has happened twice for a second or so in two weeks). Most of the time my breathing is fine but from time to time my breathing fells like there is a gurgling when I breathe in and out. I also cough from time to time when these gurling instances occur. I went to a doctor to check it out and he gave me a chest x-ray and said my lungs looked fine. He then gave me an inhaler to use just in case. Does this sound serious to anyone? Does anyone have a similar symptom? This problem doesnt really worry me except for the fact that I have become suddenly dizzy a couple of times....

I forgot to add a couple of more details. I am 25 years old and except for some slightly high blood pressure (I take medication for this) I am in good health. I also sometimes get a "tickle" feeling in my throat which is very annoying but it usually passes very quickly.

You should probably have your doctor schedule a pulmonary function test. That will help to determine if your problem is serious.

Don't worry!! In all probability you have bronchitis. The gurgling or wheezing sound you make when you breathe is pleghm (mucous) in you r throat.
The dizziness you are experiencing could simply be a side effect of the inhaler you are using. The Information sheet I got at the pharmacy for my inhaler listed dizziness and heart palpitations as possible side effects. I have had the exact same thing for six weeks now, and it is finally starting to clear up now with antbiotics.
You can check for yourself on www.webmd.com to see if your inhaler could be causing the dizziness.

Do you hear a kind of whistling sound when inhaling? If so, It could be asthmatic bronchite. Be careful with that cos it may grow into asthma. I have asthma from birth, and the common symptoms are hard breathing, a bit whistling sound when inhaling and cough during attack.
If one doctor say it's okay, and you fell it's not then try visiting another doctor.

I take Liprilosil (sp) and a side effect is coughing. I talked with someone on a different high blood pressure medicine and she said she always feels congestion in her chest and some coughing. Based on our experiences I think its a side effect to your meds.
