I like to fry it in a pan after doing my bacon, and as for what to serve with it, eggs are nice or you can I have heard serve it as a dinner dish with homefried potatos and a veg.

Pan fry is the easiest, a non stick one if you do not have any dripping to use, veg oil is find, or lard if you not on a low fat diet, it is something once you have tried it, can be your choice as to the various ways to serve it in your home.

I generally buy it pre-made but you can make it on your own, the ingredientd are easy to find, just look up "Scrapple" on the net and get a recipe that you like. I can find all the ingredients here in Toronto, Canada, thanks in part to the many Portugese and Italian butchers we have here, white cormeal is widely available here and the pork products are abundant to the extreme.

Scrapple is prepared much like corn meal mush.

Depending on it's packaging, you cut it into about 3/4 inch thick slices and pan fry it on both sides using med+ heat (use an iron skillet for the best results - but non-stick will work just fine, too.)

Since scrapple is a meat product, you will want to serve it at a safe temperature. A good rule of thumb is to cook both sides until they start to brown.

Cut it about a 1/2 of an inch thick. Fry it in a pan till it is nice deep golden brown. Serve with Scrambled eggs and homefries.

The best scrapple is the one you can get at a real butchers shop/farmers market not the kind that you buy prepackaged at a grocery store.
