The best thing is to go see your doctor, of course. You can request a glucose test. There's one that takes a few hours. You go in, fasting, and have a blood draw. Then you drink a sugary drink created for this sort of testing. They will draw your blood again at a couple of intervals.
Family history is a factor in developing diabetes, as well.

just so you know its just diabetic, there is no sugar in the name of the disease....you are either a Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetic....and its just diabetes not sugar diabetes

if yo have excessive thirst, frequent urination, unexplained weight loss or any one of these things, i strongly urge you to make an appt. with your doctor for further testing. don't wait. damage from uncontrolled blood sugar can be deadly at worst and at best make life pretty miserable.
