aside from std's. if you shave, then it could be an ingrown hair. they usually come back in the same spots. another thing it could be is a skin tag. they usually pop up in areas that are wet or run on fabric. such as where thighs rub together, where your underwear sits or your bra. my boyfriend even gets them on his neck where his collar rubs. they look like tiny moles, but they are raised and the same color as your skin. i would definitely see a doctor though and good luck.

That has happened to me too and then it went away, and I did have genital herpes years ago and have never had a flare up for like at least ten years, in some cases i think it goes away...but anyway they itch or more like tingle while forming, this sounds more like an ingrown hair, the herpes will burst and discharge will come out eventually, I don't think you have to worry but seeing the doc is a good idea...An ingrown hair can cause havvock down there, it could also just be an irritation...it doesn't take much to get an awfull lot of swelling in that area!!!

The joys of being a woman!!!!

Just to let you know, what you have is most likely not herpes. It is most likely just an irritation of the skin. The symptoms of Herpes is tingling, discomfort, or itching which precedes the blisters by several hours to 2-3 days. Blisters are surrounded by a reddish circle. Th blister tend to form in groups. After a few days the blister begin to dry, forming a thin yellowish crust & shallow ulcers. It is rare to not have these symptoms w/ herpes, but possible. Herpes is sometimes difficult to recognize for a doctor, so if your doctor suggests a second opinion w/ another doctor or anything, take the suggestion. Other than that, I truly don't think you have anything 2 worry about.

That is too bad...I hope the dr visit goes well. I don't know much about genital herpes. i am writing to tell you of something that helps with cold sores (also herpes). I don't know if it will work on genital herpes if it turns out you have it. But if so, maybe this would help.
Lactinex really shortens the duration of cold sores. It is a pill you get from the pharmacy. It has to be refrigerated. Ask your pharmacist. It is a helpful microbe normally found in the human body. When it is present in normal amounts, it seems to suppress the herpes virus and help fight the outbreaks. Acidophilus also works, but not as fast. It can be found in the vitamin section.
Hope this helps! And I hope your doctor visit goes well and that it turns out you don't have herpes after all.

Genital herpes usually comes on irritated, itchy, then it will start to burn. They are not always puss filled. Alot of times they will resemble a fever blister with a white coating over a red raw looking area. It is a good idea that you are going to the doctor because it will help you rule out anything that may be wrong.. Best of luck to you, I hope everything is ok.

If you shave that area it could be an ingrown hair. When you shave and the hair grows back, it's curly so it curls back into the skin resulting in an ingrown hair... or razor rash. It doesn't always look like a rash, it can be just one or two spots. It's labia by the way... Good luck at your doctors appointment.

It could be Herpes. Your doctor will need to test when it is there to be sure.
