If someone has AIDS and uses i-pod type headphones, the ones that go in your ears, and then someone else uses the same headphones after, can the second person catch AIDS from that? Also, if you put on earings that have previously been worn with someone with AIDS, can you catch it from that?

It all depends on who you are listening to on the headphones. If its Paris or Britney, then hell yeah you could get it.

There is no evidence that a person would get HIV/AIDS from inside the ear headphones. The only way that HIV/AIDS is transmitted is through Blood Semen, Vaginal fluid and Breast milk. Just like previous answers there would have had to have been very fresh blood on the headphones or the earring. BTW, there is no statistics on how many people have gotten HIV/AIDS from a infected earring. I am pretty sure tho it is more like 1 in 50 MILLION!

No, you cant catch AIDS like that. Im a HIV/AIDS peer Coucillorand Ive learnt that the virus can be attained by the following methods :
Mother to child (through breast milk )
Vaginal fluid
It takes 5 gallons of saliva to catch it (its ok to share food with an infected person)
Blood transfusion (through needles)
Please note the virus CANNOT serve outside the body. So even if someone claims that they drain blood and cook it in food, you still cant get it (this is still unhealthy) but the virus only survives at Body temperature.
It takes a certain amount to infect your body.
Please dont discriminate, persons with AIDS have feelings too. I know that you might be a little scarred but its ok.
P.s There is a slight chance that the person can catch it from an earring approximately one out of 50.

You can get AIDS by exchanging bodily fluids (sex), sharing hypodermic needles, or if the AIDS person has a cut and bleeds on you and you have a cut that is open and the blood of the AIDS person goes in the cut.

Well AIDS canb only be given toa peron via bodyly fluids like bloood, semen, sperm etc. but not saliva. So I dont think yo can get it from the headphones but maybe the earrings. if you arent sure you can go to a clinic to see if you have it and for more info.
