How about Shirley Temples with a fancy drink stirer? 8 parts ginger ale or 7-up and 1 part Marshiano cherry syrup. Serve with a cherry adn orange section granish. Also, maybe do finger sandwiches by decrusting bread and make sandwiches - peanut butter and jelly, ham and cheese, whatever and then cut into triangles. You could also do orange jello and whipped cream combined to make a creamy jello in orange halves. Cut oranges in half and scoop out the pulp - you may need to even up the bottoms so they lay level - and then fill with creamy jello and chill unitl firm.
What a darling idea for a party. You will have fun!

You can do ham & cheese sandwiches and turkey & chesse sandwiches!! The way to get fancy w/them is as follows:
1. Start with White Bread, Yellow and White American Cheese, Mayo and Turkey and Ham Lunch Meat
2. Put one layer of Mayo on the bread, then a slice of White Amer. Cheese, then ham or turkey, then a slice of Yellow Amer. Cheese, then another slice of bread
3. Cut sandwich in half on an angle so that you have 2 triangle shapes and then cut them both the same way, now you should have 4 mini triangle sandwiches!! Keep repeating until you have desired amount
4. Get a Silver Serving Tray and a White or Pink Lace Serving Cloth to place over the tray and place all sandwich minis in a circle/ring shape fashion!!
5. Enjoy the Princesses having fun and take pictures!!

What about fruit kabobs? Kids love these. Have a dish of sweet whipped cream for dipping. Knox Blox cut into cute shapes are also fun. Celery with peanut butter topped with raisins usually a hit. What about sandwiches cut into fun shapes using cookie cutters. Bowls of popcorn is a must if hosting a mock sleep over. Rice Crispie squares which can be personalized with each child's name...either to eat there or take home. And how about "make your own" ice cream or yogurt sundaes? A bowl of fizzy punch with sherbet floating on top will certainly make these little girls feel like grown-up princesses for sure! Have a ball!!

wow you are a great MOM...the girls will remember this forever....
How about getting those bags of Pepperidge farm fish that are cheese or pizza flavored....they would be so cute and easy to eat with creamed cheese spread. You could make a dip with the creamed cheese and then place a serving for each girl in a custard sized cup with the fish around it. Place the cup on a lettuce leaf with tiny carrots, they would be the right size for the girls that age.

Mini pizzas...using mini pitas for the base and then use a variety of toppings to create different little pizzas.
Mini sandwiches.. you can dye the bread pink and cut into little 'princess sandwiches' - serve with different 'fillings'

Fruit kabobs- put fruit and marshmallow's on a kabob, rotating 1 piece of fruit with fruit flavored mini marshmallow's.
If it's girl party you can also pre-bake sugar cookies in the shape of tiara's and let kids decorate or for boys do trucks or airplanes.

4 year olds do not even know what an apetizer is. Give them a bowl of potatoe chips or cheese puffs or something. They will be quite happy with that.

Buy some pastry cases - voulavents? - fill them with creamed corn and heat them in the oven. Very tasty. Make sure they cool down before you offer them.
