The peaches and apricots they grow there are so delicious. Why isn't the fruit as good here? Especially apricots since we do get good peaches from farmer's markets in late summer.

The climate is warm and equable, the mean daily temperature being above 10 deg C for at least eight months in the year, but the Mediterranean peninsulas have a marked deficiency of rain, the middle of summer being remarkable for its drought.

During the seasons this is presumably the climate best suited for peaches and apricots. That is presumably why they are so delicious. I doubt any specific reason can be attributed.

Because of the Mediterranean climate (the son especcially). But the best apricots are the ones from Armenia Because they "were born" there and the original name was 'armenicus' or 'armeniaca' (latin name) or Armenian apple.

i live in greece and i think i am extremely lucky! we have endless fields full of apricot trees and some villages live from that product, its the only thing they produce! mediterranean fruits grow in red dirt, the air is clean, we dont use too many chemicals and in general, i love this place!

Our country is Polluted! It also depends on the climate which is very different than ours. The land is more fertile for farming and growing crops. They probably dont use chemicals either or disgusting warehouses for distribution

Tomatoes in Jersey are the best anywhere though! :)

I live by the mediterranean it is true that the food is healthy as they use olive oil. But apart from that the tomatoes, brinjal, etc...taste like they taste elsewhere....There is nothing very special about the vegetables or either the fruits!
