I have been coughing yellow sticky liquids looks like concentrated saliva every morning when i woke up, the rest of the day the cough never came. Its been for half years already, do i need to go to the doctors or cut down on smoking? Im like having some milk thistle pills every day right now, it seems improving but it still doesnt cut out the coughs!

Smokers cough is usually dark in color. What you describe sounds more like a slight pneumonia. The reason you cough in the morning is because your body is in a single position for several hours and the mucus pools in a single spot. So when you get up your body's natural reaction is to cough "it" up. I would cut down on your smoking til this clears up. It wouldn't hurt if you went to see your Physician.

dude,

QUIT smoking and see a doctor right away for a chest xray and a CT scan. Early detection of lung disease is really your only chance if you hav cancer or some other respiratory disease. Stop putting those coffin nails in your mouth RIGHT NOW.

You might have an infection of some sort. That sort of sputum is not normal and you need to see a doctor. You may have chronic bronchitis or worse.
