It is not the usual sweet longganisa. It is much of a garlic taste w/a special distinct taste perhaps due to the Phil. oregano.

Any one knows the authentic recipe? Many thanks

well, lucban longganisa.. here it is...
ground pork, salt and garlic. that's it. it's up to you to add some flavors but i prefer to make the ilocano longganisa, it is the same as the lucban except it is added with vinegar for a longer shelf life and to enhance its flavors...
1 kilo of ground pork, 3 tablespoons salt, 3 tablespoons iloco or white vinegar, a dash of pepper and 1 big garlic finely chopped. just mix the ingredients then put them in pork intestine casing (dried ones are better).
that's it, for a sweet and sour flavor, you can add pineapple juice or calamansi juice. for a sweet longganisa, just add sugar.
try it and if you have mastered the basics, add your own flavors like oregano, basil, pandan, etc...
hope this helps.. it's a family recipe.
