I was on the pill a little over 2 1/2 years ago. My husband didn't wear condoms when we had sex. Now we have 2 year old twin girls. Sometimes the pill doesn't work in preventing pregnancy. Since he is your boyfriend I would ask him to wear one just to be safe.

Sounds like you already know the answer. Contraceptives protect you from pregnancy, but not STDs. Until such time as you are both ready to make the ultimate commitment of marriage, abstinence is the only sure protection from STDs. Short of that, condoms are necessary. If either of you aren't ready for that kind of committed monogamous relationship, then you really don't have the assurance that you will continue to be free from STDs, do you?

The pill is very effective, there's no need to use a condom unless you miss a pill, vomit it up or have bad gastro' problems that could stop the pill from being adsorbed.
The only person I know who got pregnant while on the pill had vomited after heavy drinking.
Don't be too worried about STDs if you're both monogamous. Worry is a greater health problem!

It is not necessary that you or your boy friend have STD. If you or your boyfriend does not look into the hygiene of yor private parts ,then there will be possibility of STD . So you should use condoms because contraceptive pills cant not prevent STD.It stop only pregnancy.

If you are taking pills than no need of condom to avoid pregnancy. But to avoid STD it's essential. How can you believe a person sleeping with you will never sleep with others even if he has been tempted. Now you decide what you should do.

First of all yes still use condoms secondly there are STDs out there that may not be detected in a man or at least for awhile like hpv he could have it and you will never know. It is better to be safe rather then sorry

I was on the pill and have a daughter... You decide.
Besides, the pill will not prevent any STD's. Abstinence is the only sure way to prevent both, but as that's not a perfect option, a condom is your next best choice.

the pill doesn't prevent STD !!!
But if you only worry about getting pregnant:::
Techniclly, it is not necesity, but it would be a good backup, in case you miss one, or throw up or something...
I stoped using condoms when i went on the pill, but I got pregnant some time afther, because I was sick for a few days and threw up non stop, but had no ideea that birth-control won't do it's thing anymore.... A bit stupid, wasn't I? but i just didn't realise it...
now i have a beautifull doughter witch i'm verry prpwd of, and I have no reason to regret my mistake...
It's up to you and your BF, because you should take this decision toghether...

Well then, you better keep on testing him...are you willing to take the chance of getting something worse than stds because you want to believe your boyfriend. There are alot of significant others out there that have been deceived by spouses that they were SURE would never cheat. It only takes ONE weak moment in this crazy world of people who do not hold the "becoming as one" as God intended, as sacred.

regardless of whether youve both been tested or not...and know that at this time, no std's have shown up on any tests, you could still have them. hpv can go undetected for a very very long time which can cause cancer in women and infertility..also aids can take up to 6 months to show up in tests. plus, even though im sure you trust him, you cant always be sure that he wont go out and dip his wick into something dirty. ALWAYS, and i cannot stress enough ALWAYS use condoms. a friend of mine got her man tested, and so did she, and they both were clean, and well, about 9 months later, she had chlamydia. you can never ever be too careful when it comes to your health. plus its always good to have a pregnancy back up...birth control isnt always 100%.....good luck.
