actually it depends on your thyroid level
if you have a too low of thyroid then soy is bad
for you and if you have too high soy it is good for you. U see soy lowers the thyroid level
How do U know which U have? Generally if you are sensitive to the heat U likely have Low Thyroid but if U are sensitive to the Cold not the heat then U likely have either High or Normal Thyroid Level. Most people have High and that's why they say Soy is good for you! Same thing goes for unsaturated oils!

it's not just about soy being bad or good for you, the problem is also that most of the soy (and soy-related products) comes from genetically modiefied crops, whose (harmful?) long term effects cannot yet be determined by the scientific community. Many people are now allergic to soy (same happens with gluten) because it is contained in a whole range of processed foods (in the form of flour), even in chocolate. This means that you end up eating a lot of it even when you're not aware. The best you can do for you is to try to have a very veried diet.

Studies have shown that yes soy is good for you but not in all instances. The latest study showed that if a person has been eating soy since childhood, it's hugely beneficial to health. This explains why Asian cultures reap such health benefits from soy. If a person starts to eat soy later in life it's not as beneficial and in some cases can be harmful.

I am allergic to soy, as are many people that dont even know they are-symptoms like eczema, hives, arthritis, skin probs, etc-they think it is some annoying illness when it is really an allergy to soy or wheat. I think it has been so genetically modified over the years that its toxic
