I just watched this: http://www.peta2.com/p2vsk2_flash/index.html
So i guess, i'd have to be a real bastard to eat meat again... especially with so many alternatives out there. Never really agreed with breeding animals for food anyhow.
So back to my question, what kind of foods are there? Just need some suggestions.

To answer your second question, soy milk works anywhere real milk does - it's pretty amazing. It's fine on corn flakes, or any other kind of breakfast cereal.

Soya milk will work on corn flakes, but I doubt that cornflakes are vegan. Vegan food 'products'? Fruit, vegetables, pulses, nuts, that's about it really. I thought the whole point was to eat natural , non-animal food - not Quorn or whatever other meat substitute might appear on the market. There's always tofu.

You can always check out www.vegetariantimes.com. Great publication for the vegetarian or just cooking foodie. Any local health food store will have some great stuff. And even the big local supermarkets are carrying alot of vegan choices these days.

Boca products are almost -everywhere- nowadays. Amy's kitchen things are great, too.
Morningstar Farms are alright for ovo-lacto vegetarians, but you said no milk. =) so that kind of leaves that out.
Loma Linda/Worthington has a lot of vegan products, too. Gardenburger is fairly commercially found as well.
All of these products can be googled in a heartbeat. =)

Tofu can be nice. Especially if it is marinated in ginger and soy sauce. You can use it instead of meat in stir fries. Also, I like to put cashew nuts in stir fries. Nuts, beans and lentils are a great source of protein.
Quorn is in every supermarket freezer. Use it in place of chicken.
Nut burgers.

i do not imagine vegetarians/vegans are doing some thing with their nutrition alternatives to allure to interest themselves or making a level to blend in. it is for wellbeing reason and in many cases to stay away from that entire eating useless animals component. it is elementary to cook dinner a save offered veggie burger and positioned it on a save offered bun and devour it. i do not continually have time to pull out 17 elements and cook dinner all foodstuff from scratch. Meatless lunch meats are a god deliver! Throw it between 2 slices of bread and phone it lunch or dinner. My son is allergic to meats, strange i recognize, and that i feed him fake poultry nuggets. i'm no longer attempting to fool anybody or make a huge deal both; it is only lunch. it is protein and he eats it hence i'm grateful there are fake nuggets, burgers and tofu doggies! he's also lactose illiberal so i'm very happy there is lactose free cows milk, too. it is all about the liberty to go back to a call on what you go with to devour. in case you go with to slot in at a BBQ then deliver your human being precooked tofu canine and devour the pasta salad, eco-friendly salad, baked beans and different meals which could no longer have animals factors in them. when you're vegan it is your duty to being your human being nutrition until eventually you recognize the host/hostess is providing vegan fare. no longer all and sundry cares about what you're eating, believe me. in case you don't like what they're serving you do not ought to devour it. same to meat eaters do not ought to love your veggie burgers, all of this stuff are about own alternatives.

Your local market has plenty. I buy whole wheat pasta, beans, brown rice, veggie stock, veggies, seasonings and so much more. Google "The vegetarian pantry"
