It's very easy to get all the nutrition you need from foods that don't contain meat. Just make sure to eat enough protein packed foods, like beans, soy, etc.

Becoming Vegetarian is a very good book about becoming a vegetarian. Otherwise see a nutritionist. In terms of recipies, books like " How it all vegan", "The Garden of Vegan" and "Dolce Vegan" are all great. Good luck and make sure to have a balanced diet and take the appropritate supplements that you miss from not having meat (e.g. B12)

I went veg. at the age of 9, my best advice to u is to be more concious of getting things that meat does provide like protein. Soy is amazing i eat all of these vegan patties and veggie patties they are just awesome, and being veg. is not as limited as it was before either, there are even restuarants out there that serve 100% authentic veg. only. It shouldn't be a problem, just relax eat ur fruits and veg. and practically anything else because being a veg. is not as bad and there is a wide variety of foods out there to cover ur diet. have fun.

have a variety in the vegetarian meals.
but also take note of any vegetarian dish you might want to avoid sometimes because of the taste.
some stalls sell tasty vegetarian food.

make sure you eat lots of beans and milk and most imporatnatly dont go into temtation if u go to a party then bring a boca butger or sometin you can have wihtout feeling okward

take a multi vitamin thats very importent!! you will loose huge amounts of iron and protien and you will need to eat differnt things to get thos nutrients your loosing. Also eat lots of chheses and milks, and tons of juices and water.. But the multivitamin is a must! or it could be dangerous..

Firstly,have a healthy diet and make sure that you have your meals on time....choose low-fat or high carb stuff and exercise as it is common that upon turning veg u might gain weight.

take multi-vitamins, eat lots of protien, ie; shakes, bars, beans, tofu... all your nutrition is is vegies, all you will be lacking is iron and protien, mostly. so have fun...fun missing out on the flavor of life...
