It doesn't cause mucus, but it can thicken the mucus that was already there and make congestion worse.

Any dairy products are believed to cause mucus. Cheese, whole milk etc. I suggest to cut them out of your diet for a couple of weeks and see if you feel a difference.

It's a misconception that dairy products create more mucus. There have been many studies on this and all conclusively agree to the same thing.

yes it can....alot of people are very sensitive to milk products. Everyone reacts differently to it. Some not at all others have skin problems or mucus problems.
the reason they react to this is for a few reasons.
1) its extremly high in proten....its made to make cow babies fat not for humans to drink.
2) its full of hormones
3) Its contrains small amounts of dead white blood cells (puss) so if you drink to much you are filling your system with puss.
Their are many theory's about milk it is a very un studied products and a lot of people have reactions to it...even if they are not allergic persay.
Drink soy milk and soy cheese.

Dairy has been to really aggravating the respiratory problems. People with asthma for example are advised to eliminate dairy from diet.

of course not. not unless your allergic to it. maybe you've just got a head cold and your sinuses are draining, but then you'd probably have a sore throat too. could be a lower respiratory infection, or worse.
