Tough choice, but I would have to go with sushi. I really like dim sum, but I've grown up eating it so often, it's not as special anymore. It's also pretty high in sodium, so I always end up drinking a lot of water and feeling dehydrated whenever I eat too much. Sushi's just more special to me because good affordable sushi is hard to come by. I've become quite particular after living in Japan for a couple years.

I've had a ton of sushi lately, so I'll vote for dim sum.

Depends on my mood, but I'd have to say dim sum. I get full off the rice in sushi. Dim sum has so many varieties that are mostly dumplings. (Hong Kong style)

Dim Sum for brunch...then sushi for dinner. That's a good day!

Dim Sum is good stuff... and there are so many options, and you can probably find sushi during one too.

With Sushi you get to look at a menu and see what exactly will be in the role, and its made to order so its fresh.
With Dim Sum its carted around in containers for who knows how long, and you get to see it but you don't get a clear description of whats in it, so its sort of hit or miss on whether you will like it or not.
I would go with Sushi.

Dim sum for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Sushi for dinner with sake. Have them all in one day.

Definitely Dim Sum. Lots more variety of flavors and textures. Plus you get your choice of desserts. There is no sushi dessert that I know of.

Apples and oranges. It depends on your mood. With Sushi, you can also have Surimi and broaden your variety. With Dim Sum, you can have pork, chicken, fish of all kinds and vegetables of all kinds. The menu is pages long and you can fulfill so many desires. Eat them both!!!!
