No-one has to smoke dear heart. This is a very bad habit a lot of us picked up when young and watching the movies. Our Hollywood stars smoked in the movies and we were trying to be like them. And then we got hooked and gradually it dammaged our health and some died from emphysema and lung cancer but it it enough to scare us enough to stop the self-destruction? I stopped 7 years ago and not because I had to. I prefer to be the one deciding of what I need to do. This proved to be a wise decision in my case because I feel so much better and do not stink of smoke anymore. I can almost detect a smoker across the street! However, this makes me realize what I did to my friends in the past. None of them were smokers. What I revelation that is! I do not criticize those who smoke but I just avoid their company so I don't get unpleasant. This is my experience about it. If you have not started to smoke; please don't, no matter how old you are.

You don't HAVE to be any age to smoke. The legal age to buy cigarettes is 18 in most states.
How bout you forget about smoking and take up a sport? Baseball, football, soccer, hockey, la crosse, basketball, track, cross country. They won't make your lungs look like big ole chunks of charcoal and you'll have a healthier life in the long run.
Smoking is for losers.

In answer to the question that you asked, you can smoke at any age. There are nine-yr-olds who smoke. To legally buy tobacco products, the age varies from state to state.

18 to smoke and to legally purchase cigarettes.
But WHY would you ask? Certainly, when you know how bad they are for you, you wouldn't SMOKE, would you? After hearing your whole life about how many people died from it (teens DO get emphysema and die--look it up)
That is the DUMBEST thing I have ever heard of.

Im a smoker for 30 years and trying to find a way to quit, its the worst possible thing I've ever been thru and I've had children. So please don't pick up this nasty habit and at least wait if you really have to smoke until your at least 110.

You can't form a question correctly so you can't smoke. Spend your time in school. School is healthier than smoking.
