It is probably heart palpitations. No real big deal but you need to go to your doctor just to make sure. And to make sure you don't need to take something for this. Mine was doing that and it turned out to be Mitro Valve Prolapse.(sorry for any misspellings) Which still isn't life threatening but I feel better since I started taking the medication.

nothing to be to worried about, yes it is easy to be concerned about cause i get the same as well, and by the looks of the answers so do alot of others, go c your doctor if u like, it may make you feel better, but try not to stress when it happenes, yes its hard, but if it happenes to often, i would c my doctor just to b on the safe side, also, when i drink to much coffee or smoke to much, i get this more. so i cut down the best i can, and it stops. good luck, i hope all the answers you have received have put your mind at ease

Definitely sounds like heart palpitations, they can happen if your feeling anxious or feeling particularly stressed out.
I have experienced these a few times, but if they continue or if your worried about it a quick visit to the docs, they will listen to your heart and take your blood pressure and give you the reassurance you might need.x

If it worries you, go get it checked. Even if it doesn't worry you, go get it checked. It may not be a real problem, but it's better to know for sure. It could be serious. Don't neglect your health. Go and relieve your mind. If they find something that's not right; the chances are they can help fix it. It could be a very minor problem.

You must see your doctor to rule out anything serious, but usually palpitations are harmless. They can be made worse by consuming too much caffeine. So try cutting down on the caffeine (if you haven't already) and see if that helps.

skip beats, may be PAC`s ( premature atrial contractions ) or PVC`s ( premature ventricular contractions ) maybe benign but its needs to be investigated if you havent had it checked yet, there could be an underlying problem and if uncorrected could be dangerous ... what your cardiologist will do is do a blood exam ( skipeats could be due to an electrolyte imbalance ) an EKG and if warranted a 24EKG holter monitoring... if you are young and asymptomatic, it may be nothing, but have it investigated anyway, just to make sure...

palpitations are different, technically they are defined medically as conscious awareness of our heart beat... ( we normally are not aware of our own heart beat... )

these arrhythmia's can be caused by stress, caffeine, certain medications and ingredients. uncertain at this point. stop all stimulants and watch ingredients. if this problem persist, see a cardiologist. try to allow yourself some down time during stressful periods to avoid overload. good luck

How much caffeine are you ingesting every day? coffee? soda pop? Nodoz? Caffeine can do funny things that way. Otherwise maybe check with your doctor if it could be your heart.
