This company carries fake king prawn. It isn't soy based, but it's vegetarian(vegan, actually). Most fake meats are actually seitan(wheat meat based). I've had some delicious soy shrimp and other fake meat.

I've never heard of soy based fake seafood. It might exist out there. Check Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, if you've got one of those around you! Otherwise, health food stores sometimes stock specialty foods.

I've been in the kitchen of a vegan Asian restaurant where they were using flavored tofu to make "shrimp" by pressing the flavored soy milk curds into molds. Unfortunately they wouldn't give me details on the recipe.

I agree with the last girl, it exists, but I don't think it's soy based. It's probably gluten which is wheat based.
