Ventricular tachycardia is ≥ 3 consecutive ventricular beats at a rate ≥ 120 beats/min. Symptoms depend on duration and vary from none to palpitations to hemodynamic collapse and death. Diagnosis is by ECG. Treatment of more than brief episodes is with cardioversion or antiarrhythmics depending on symptoms. If necessary, long-term treatment is with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
Please see the web pages for more details on Ventricular tachycardia.

If the patient has passed out, the first treatment is immediate cardioversion with a defibrillator.
Some ventricular tachycardia is sporadic. If the patient is stable during Ventricular Tachycardia, then sometimes IV medication can be given to convert the rhythm.
Also,an Ablation procedure can be done in some cases to "burn" areas in the heart that may be causing the arrythmia.
You might find more information at the Heart Rhythm Society webpage.

Sever type of Vt is an extrem emergency situation of cardiac arrhythmia.Because if not correct it in short time, cardiac arrest will happen-dead..Use iv medicine.,synechronized dc shock if failure(no plus) then defibrillation for emergency treatment.Vt usally represent sever underline cardiac illness and has poor prognosis.
