Unfortunately nowadays a lot of diabetes is due to so many people being overweight. Of course some diabetes is also hereditary so numbers of people suffering will continue to increase if people don't lose weight to decrease the risk of passing it on to their kids.

I was just diagnosed with diabetes earlier this week. For me personally, I'm one of the 85% because I'm obese, didn't exercise, ate a lot of food high in fat and sugar, and a family history of diabetes. I've known for years now that if I didn't take action then I was going to develop diabetes. I didn't listen to my doctor and get the weight off, exercise, and eat healthier. In other words, I made very unwise choices and now I'm suffering the consequences. Thankfully, I've learned my lesson now and will HAVE to do what I should have been doing years ago. I know first hand that if I don't do this now, I will die a miserable death at a young age. My cousin, who was more like a brother, lived in denial about his diabetes and refused to make wiser decisions about his health. He paid the ultimate price less than a month after his 49th birthday - he died. It was horrible to watch the nightmare existence he endured those last 3 months of his life. His kidneys failed, his liver failed, he was legally blind, and he had to have multiple amputations. I think most of us live in a state of denial about how insideous this disease really can be.

Some people inherit diabetes from genetic genes in their families. Some woman get gestational diabetes when they are pregnant. I believe more people have it now due to poor diet. Many people like fast food living instead of cooking a good nutritional healthy balanced meal. Fast foods should not be a persons everyday all day meal. Many young people have diabetes now, and it is spreading more and more like referred to the 85%.

it's simple. sedentary lifestyles, the wrong food and stress.
type 2 diabetes is generally a lifestyle disease.
many today are unhappy deep within and hence cannot discipline their minds.
when you run after pleasurable activities thinking that they will make you happy, the body will always give up in the end. happiness needs to drive pleasure and not the other way around. the young particularly need to understand this clearly.
this is not philosophy but a simple truth.
in the bigger scheme of things i suppose we will find a cure for type 2 diabetes in 4/5 years, so we may have to start worrying about something else then---everything happens for a reason!

Diabetes is a lifestyle diseases. we have ourselves landed in to this mess. we people have left walking, exercises, eat junk and think that medicines will do all the miracles.
LIFE IS LIKE A CYCLE WHEN NOT RUNNING FALLS FLAT.
good time we realise this otherwise 85% will soon turn into 100%

Refined foods and modern day agriculture. It stresses the pancreas when we keep eating low fat and fat free and so on and so forth.

The pancreas is supposed to produce insulin, but it spikes too much insulin from improper diet.

It stresses our pancreas when we go for quick energy like a candy bar or a star bucks.

It stresses our pancreas when we eat french fries and fried foods.

Now, children are getting adult onset type 2 diabetes at epidemic proportions.

There is a retreat in Arizona from skinny to obese to young and old from different races who ate only vegetarian raw foods for 30 days.

In two weeks every single of of these people got off of their insulin drugs entirely. But, realistically, how many diabetics can be shipped to Arizona to that retreat and how many are willing to eat up to 17 different kinds of raw fruits and vegetables throughout the day and give up white flower products?

See http://www.glycostory.com/mannalive... to see a solution to health. Listen to people with type 1 and 2 share with you how they were able to produce their own insulin naturally because they were able to "wake up" the body's natural ability to defy aging and create wellness on a cellular level through what is "missing" in our modern diets.

Instructions: Click on the "stories" tab and look up diabetes.
