Sounds like allergies. Have you had her checked?

My daughter is six years old and she does the same thing. She had reflux as a baby and puked alot, never was put on anything though so I can't compare that situation to what your daughter has. However, can I ask if you have anything new, animal carpet, etc...have you checked your filters on your furnace, this actually sounds like and allergy and the milk is thick and can be building the mucus already there. I almost 100% positive that is the case with my daughter... Good luck!

May be she is allergic to milk. I got a cure for sore throat though. Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. More details and home remedies available at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

I would not give her milk anymore because that can make gerd even worse. But if you do not give her that anymore make sure to give her somthing with lots of calcium in it because she still needs that a lot. I'm very sorry to hear your daughter has all these medical problems and I hope everything goes ok. Take care and god bless.

too many options...does she have a post nasal drip? milk fats thicken the secretions and could have a hand in the cough...i doubt that the gerd has anyting to do with it...but maybe she is getting too much at each feeding and she is having reflux that is not gerd...if she has a g-tube she shouldn't be getting food up into her throat, but...why would she cough...foreign bodies in the lungs can do that...gerd/reflux is the greatest mixup in childhood with asthma...more kids are diagnosed with asthma when they really have gerd and they need zantac....not an inhaler...
do you sit her up after each feeding...maybe not long enough...?
good luck

Milk is fatty and causes mucous. Try lactose free milk or soy milk she should do fine. I have asthma and GERD so milk products in general are bad for me. Try it see if you notice a difference.

It sounds like milk allergies. Stay away from dairy products.

She may be allergic to milk/other dairy products. Remove these from her diet to see if the symptoms still occur.

I would suggest that you not give her milk or anything that makes a lot of mucus.
