It does not matter what you searve to eat, just don't eat and play at the same time. The chips and cards get greasy or worse spotted and marked and people know that the king of spades has cilantro from the salsa on it.

Plus trying to play around plates is annoying.

Focus on the beverages, smooties or daquires are filling and you do not eat them with your hands. Do milk shakes for dessert

Get your crock pot out and do some cocktail wieners, nacho cheese(for nachos),buffalo wings, and set the rest of the stuff around.Make sure that you put a bowl of pretzel sticks by the crock pots to use as food grabbers. They eat them, no mess. Then just do a table with tortilla chips, regular chips, several easy dips, and a few cookies or veggies to munch on.Hey, you have to know when to hold them,Good Luck.

How about mini pizza's made on english muffins. They can be made ahead of time, refrigerated and put in the oven just 10 or 15 minutes before serving. Same goes for grinders, they can be made ahead of time. Wraps too.

the basics chips and dip.
mostly finger food, so that the players can hold their cards in their hand while eating.
i'd go with some nachos. but they might be a little messy. maybe cocktail hotdogs. and maybe a spinach dip with small slices of bread. and cocktails of course. that's the key to winning, gettin them drunk before they play

snacks like chips, pretzels, cheese and crackers, maybe a meat tray and veggies & dip. Possibly hand held desserts like cookies and brownies. Beer if you are over 21 or sodas.
