my mom has an appointmet to fix it on the same day i have an interview for a job i've been dreaming and wanting..........yes i know i'm going with my mother its a no brainer

I know you want to be with your mom...That's understandable but if she is having a valve replacement, there isn't much you can do during the surgery except wait. Again, I know you want to be with your mom. I think it would be ok to go to your interview and then go be with your mom....you can do both. There are always risks to surgery no matter what the procedure is but I'm sure your mom will be in good hands. Go to your interview, knock there socks off, and go be with your mom!!! Don't ever give up your dreams!! I don't think your mom would want you to give that up either. Best of luck with your future and your mom.

There are different procedures for fixing a leaky vale, one procedure doesn't require opening the chest, and other procedures require opening the chest. Obviously, the open-chest procedures are more risky, but not substantially more risky than any other surgical procedure that involves a large incision.
Why not call the people you were planning to interview with and tell them it is your dream job, and you would like to reschedule the interview because your mom is having heart surgery?
