I'm with AA on this issue. When chelation pulls all the calcium from out of the blood, the blood naturally draws from the best reservoir of calcium in the body - your skeleton. Nasty.

Also, please take note that just about anybody that does chelation therapy will basically be a cash only practice, and place the burden of insurance reimbursement on the patient. And it would be rare that an insurance company would consider chelation to be a necessary procedure -- sometimes in heavy metal poisoning -- but not in calcium-related issues.

Cash only, no insurance billing, questionable value -- all points to really questionable medical practice to me. They want your money.

I suggest you think twice before going to a chelation therapy clinic....

Premise of chelation therapy is to bind up excess calcium or bad inorganics like lead and mercury. I had three patients who took the remady for heart disease thinking that it would "dissolve" plaques in their arteries. Unfortunately all it did was dissolve their bones (where most of the clacium is anyway). The calcium then had to be excreted by the kidneys which ended up failing. All three ended up on dialysis, with two ff them dead now after a couple of years of hell.

Don't do chelation therapy! it was started with good intentions several decades ago, but research has now proven it to be more harmfull than beneficial. Only a few practitioners remain, who are more interested in their dollars than patient welfare.
