My niece, age 16, was born with a congenital heart defect. The defect was repaired, but her body has outgrown the surgery and she is not doing well. She is presently at a hospital in the midwest...does anyone have experience with excellent pediatric cardiology departments in the U.S. and would be able to recommend a hospital or doctor?

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
St. Louis Children's Hospital / Washington University, St. Louis
J.W. Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis
LC Packard Children's Hospital / Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA
Texas Children's Hospital / Baylor, Houston

All of these have just first class medical staff and positive environments. There are certainly others around the country, but I have extensive experience with all of these and I would take my child there without hesitation.
