As far as gonorrhea is concerned, a sample is taken from the parts of the body likely to be infected- cervix, urethra, rectum, or throat- and sent to the lab. Gonorrhea that is present in the cervix or urethra can be diagnosed by testing a urine sample. A Gram stain can also be used. Chlamydia can be tested via urine, but there are other tests that require a specimen be collected from the penis or cervix.

I think the doctor takes a swabbing of the discharge and a blood test

first they will see if you have any symptoms, look at the genitals and afteer that they may do blood and urin test if enough evidence supports it... usually they just take a wet mount and look under the scope.

both can be checked for via a urine test, they are both bacterial infections, no need for needles on this one

They put a little q-tip like thing up your little pee pee hole and move it around then take it to the lab for testing.

I am pretty sure those both have to be tested by a pap smear.
