I guess you are in USA or any other western country, I would suggest you to order typical & taste good Chinese Takeaway Meals.
Stir fried assorted vegetables with garlic and oyster sauce
crispy roasted duck with steamed rice
- if they don't have roasted duck, then order kung poa chicken (or kung poa prawns)
If you are not that hungry, you may just order seafood chow mein or lo mein.

Shrimp Fried Rice, Mongolian Beef (extra spicy), and Brandied Chicken Wings will feed 2-3 well.
Side-note, I figure on which Chinese take-out is best on the tastiness of the shrimp fried rice.
When you go to sit down, make sure there are Chinese people eating there. If not, it's not good.

You know that all the foods the people named above me aren't real chinese food right? It's american-chinese food...it makes you fat.
But if you really are going to a real Chinese restaurant for takeout...try..
1. Wontons in hot red oil
2.Sauteed Vegetables
3. Beijing duck wraps
