You are right and wrong at the same time
Salivia will NOT kill HIV but the chances of getting HIV from kissing someone with it is very very slim (like one in a million).
The reason is that they would have to bleed in your mouth and you would have to have a fresh open cut. Your mouth is the place in your body that heels the quickest and even if you have a kancor sore or something it is not an open wound. You need an open wound and they need a drop of blood. There has been a case when a dentist with HIV cut his hand and had cut the patients mouth while working on her and gave the virus to her but that is the only time ever. Kissing I have never heard of it being transmitted but i think the chance is 1 in a million.

What I was taught us that you would need like a truck load of saliva in order to pass HIV through kissing.

There has only been one recorded case of HIV being transmitted via kissing and it was between two people who, both, had bleeding gum disease.
Saliva won't kill HIV, but stomoch acids will.

No you are not right. Saliva doesn't kill the HIV virus. It transports it. The problem with kissing is about lesions in the mouth, where the saliva might transport the virus from one person to another.

I think you can get HIV through kissing is there is a wound or open sore in one or both of your mouths. Just don't kiss some one if you think they have HIV.

Hmm, HIV dies as soon as it hits air, so i guess the only place that a person would get infected from is the needle, and that's already touched by air. Any HIV infected blood that the mosquito sucked up would not be injected into a person because they suck and swallow, not spit;)

What will Saliva do if you have diseases of oral cavity e.g a small, including bleeding gums. You are liable to have AIDS,etc.
So better avoid un-natural events, God has provided oral cavity for eating and talking and not for so called sex.
