My asthma doesnt even have to be in the middle of a flare up but sometimes when i breath, it can be a shallow breath or a deep one, i have a sharp pain in one of my lungs. I have read that it could be partial lung collapse. i know some other people that this has happened to and they doont know what it is. Can you help me figure this out?

I get the same thing. And I've had X-Ray after X-Ray. Finally my pulmonologist told me it's just a bubble of air trapped in the lung after an attack, usually because one of the bronchioles hasn't opened back up all the way.

If they can't find anything else going on, that's probably it.
