I have been having these symptoms since the summer and have just recently connected them to blood sugar issues. I cut out all breads and found great relief. Then I cut out sugar and have been doing even better, but still feel a little lightheaded about 2 hours after I eat. I am going for a glucose tolerance test tomorrow to see if I might have diabetes or hypoglycemia.
Here are my symptoms before my food modifications:
Shaking/Trembling
Lightheadedness
Dizziness
Sweating, but feel cold
Feel sort of "detached" (hope that makes sense)
Head hurts
Heart seems to beat irregularly
Any help or info is greatly appreciated!

Actually that sounds like hypoglycemia.
If you have diabetes you will pee a lot - that's actually what diabetes means - flow of water.
If you definitely have diabetes, you shouldn't have a GTT (glucose tolerance test). It's mainly meant to confirm hypoglycemia.
Hypoglycemia is an reaction to sugar ingestion resulting in excess insulin production for a period of time, causing a drop in blood sugar. Bread may also be causing this reaction too (given it's converted into sugar in the body).
Cutting out bread is likely a wise move. You get glucose from other sources, you're not gonna die because you cut out bread.

Hypoglycemia unrelated to exogenous insulin therapy is an uncommon clinical syndrome characterized by low plasma glucose level, symptomatic sympathetic nervous system stimulation, and CNS dysfunction. Many drugs and disorders cause it. Diagnosis requires blood tests performed at the time of symptoms or during a 72-h fast. Treatment is provision of glucose combined with treatment of the underlying cause.
Symptoms of hypoglycemia:
* Fatigue
* General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling (malaise)
* Nervousness
* Irritability, or even aggression
* Trembling
* Headache
* Hunger
* Cold sweats
* Rapid heart rate
* Blurry or double vision
* Confusion
* Convulsions
* Coma
Additional symptoms that may be associated with this disease:
* Excessive sweating
* Sleeping difficulty
* Paleness
* Muscle pain
* Memory loss
* Palpitations, or feeling your heartbeat (heartbeat sensations)
* Hallucinations
* Fainting
* Different size pupils
* Dizziness
* Decreased consciousness

You have something going on but a doctor is the one to decide what is best for you. Please do not seveirly change your diet until the doctor advises you. Certain questions are better left to proffessionals. You are doing the right thing getting a doctor to do the testing. Go with that and do not get impatient. Your guess sounds accurate as far as one or the other. But Hypoglycemia can turn into Diabeties if left untreated... so you could be in the change over stage... Don't guess, listen to the doc

You should not have cut out all breads. This is not healthy- and your doctor will tell you this. Your brain NEEDS carbohydrates to function and gets them mainly from bread products. Your symptoms are very common of hypoglycemia. Look at this webpage to get the full picture. http://www.medicinenet.com/hypoglycemia/article.htm
I am glad you are going for the test, because NO answer on here can substitute for the truth.
Good Luck!!!

This sounds like diabeties to me as I had the same symptoms, if you are not eating something every 4 hours your body will have a problem. With diabieties you need to learn how to eat, 6 meals a day, meaning take what you call a meal now, cut in half and eat twice,,,,,,,,,,not a bigger intake, just more often, also, lay off sugar and starches, go for the natural sugars in fruits.

These can also be signs of a thyroid problem. It's a good thing you are going to see your doctor so you can find out for sure.
