I need ideas for a party I will be keeping. Not a superbowl party but whatever ideas you may have I will take. I would also like to have some finger food ideas if you have no dip ideas. Thank you very much for all answers in advance.

Enjoy 2007

This bean salsa is awesome!! Use Fritos or tortilla chips.

INGREDIENTS

* 1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas, rinse and drain
* 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
* 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained (I prefer to thaw frozen corn)
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
* 1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
* 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
* 1 cup Italian-style salad dressing
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

DIRECTIONS

1. In a medium bowl, combine black-eyed peas, black beans, corn, onion, green bell pepper, jalapeno peppers and tomatoes. Season with Italian-style salad dressing and garlic salt; mix well. Cover, and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors.

Take 2 softened package of cream cheese (the type in the box) and spread it over the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Top it with 2 cans of spicy Hormel chili (with or without beans). Cover the chili with Jack cheese and Cheddar cheese (however much needed to completely cover the chili). Place it in the oven for 30 minutes until bubbly. Serve it with tortilla chips. It's always been a big hit whenever I've served this dip!

This is a wonderful dip that is soooo easy to prepare.

Texas Hotcha Dip:

1 lb of hot bulk sausage
1 box of Velveeta cheese
1 can of chopped green chilies
splash of milk (to help the cheese melt)

Brown and crumble the sausage. Cube the Velveeta cheese. Add all the ingredients into a crock pot and warm until the cheese is melted. Stir occasionally. That is it~and men can never get enough of this dip.

You can serve it with chips or crackers. It is also good out of the fridge the next day spread on crackers!

Well this is not really a dip but it has been a hit whenever I serve it . So try it out :
You need a bar of Philadelphia Creamcheese( I usually cut it in half the long side to make a long bar ) Buy a jar of green Pepper Jelly( not mint ) put it over the creamcheese and serve with simple Saltine Crackers.It,s the bomb ! You should find that kind of jelly at a giant Ukrops, Shoppers ...
Hope you like it !

I make a dip that is cream cheese spread in the bottom of a glass pie plate then put chill w/ beans on top then salsa then shredded cheese. Bake at 350 until cheese is bubbling...serve with nacho chips. This is the best dip I have ever eaten.

I hope you enjoy =)

My sister makes a good and simple dip that is great with tostitos corn chips.

1 block of cream cheese and 1 jar of salsa.
Put the cream cheese in a microwavable bowl and pour the salsa over it. Microwave for 30 seconds and mix. You may have to microwave longer depending on your microwave.

Simple and tasty

I call this hamburger dip.

Get a jar or 2 of Chile Con Ceso Sauce. You can find it in the chip aisle or the mexican food aisle. Cook about a pound of hamburger meat, season it with salt and pepper. I like to add some hot sauce to give it some kick. Drain it, set aside. Warm up the Chile Con Ceso Sauce then add the cooked hamburger meat.

Simple and so good. I serve it with Doritos. My boyfriend goes crazy for it.

Another little finger food you might like is lil smokies in a blanket. Get a tube of croissants and wrap the lil smokies in the dough. I usually cook them for about 10 minutes. It's a great take on pigs in a blanket. And totally delish.

Here's a dill dip recipe that we absolutely LOVE. And it's always a hit wherever I take it.

1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon parsley
2 tablespoons onion flakes
2 teaspoons dill weed
2 teaspoons Lowry's Season Salt

Mix together the day before the party and store in the refrigerator. Delicious as a dip for raw veggies such as carrot sticks, raw cauliflower, raw broccoli, celery sticks and green onions.

Have fun! :)
