Or is this something that needs to be brought to the physicians attention? This is the fifth or sixth time in a week this child has said their heart is beeping and they hear it in their ear and feel it with their hand and it's not brought on by strenuous activity. I'm starting to get worried . Serious answers please, this is my precious granddaughter I'm talking about.

I would think that there is a problem. It could be he has an inner ear infection that causes him to be aware of his heartbeat or a more serious condition. No messing around with this take him to the Dr to be on the safe side. Good luck.

I just wanted to share this tidbit with you about me..I can remember things even before I was five.I could hear my pulse all over my body and especailly in my head..I would eat lunch and go outside to play and then it would be harder and harder and it would be extremely hot outside and it would pound in my ears for hours.I never thought to much about it ,didn't like the headaches but always thought it was normal for everyone to feel this way so didn't ever ask anyone until i was in my 20's and there was nothing really wrong.. just one of those things. Some people are aware of it and some aren't even at my age now .. im in my 50's and have suddenly become aware if pounding most of the time..its a condition from losing weight around your ear drums that comes with my body type..its benign and nothing to worry about ,but if your child suddenly becomes dizzy alot or blacks out or has any strange symptoms it would be a good thing to have them checked out but I would be willing to bet you its a benign thing..just some are aware and some arent.. and the lucky ones are the ones that dont hear it.I can tell you from experience if you let it .. then it came make you anxious.. but other than that just tell them that its normal ..and they will forget about it..

Ok ... here is a dumb question to you. Is the child attending a preschool or kindergarten classroom. They could be doing a lesson on the heart. Teaching children that exercise will raise the heart and that you can feel the beat. You wont believe the stuff kids learn today. If this isnt the case, call your physcian for an exam to at least find an answer.

You should have her checked out, might be a sinus infection or something brewing that is making her hear her heartbeat in her ear. That can happen with the pressure changes that come with sinus problems.

Hearing that in her ear probably is making her more aware of it in other parts of her body. That would be my guess.

Well it will be safe to get her checked to make sure everything is fine.A child heart rate is much higher than a adult. It beat like from 120 to 150 for newborn and kids.

you really should have her checked by a pediatric cardiologist. i had a friend whose daughter had the same condition. when she was 16 she had an ablation procedure which totally corrected it. however there are several things that could cause a heart to beat unusually hard. please have her checked as soon as possible. good luck, and God bless
