do you mean a colposcopy? colposcopys are when the doctors have done a papsmear and it came back abnormal or with what they call cellular changes. it does not hurt. what sometimes does hurt is the biopsy. it feels like a sharp cramp and nothing more. they usually use somestuff to help stop bleeding and its such a small amount. biopsies are not always included in a colposcopy.with the HPV they are just making sure that it is not causing cervical cancer. dont worry. most the time it clears up on its own. good luck!
