I don't like to do anything that will affect anyone in a possibly negative way. I think that if I smoke it is for me, not others and that those who have allergies or asthma didn't go out to eat looking for an uncomfortable situation so someone else could have a few minutes of relaxation. I believe that my rights end where someone elses begins.
If someone has a peanut allergy and goes out to eat they know what they can do to avoid a reaction, but if my smoke travels into their space then that is different because they couldn't prevent it and they may have been there first.
I don't like that people try to tell you not to smoke but I am ok with them saying where I can smoke. I have noticed that all the designated smoking areas are outside in the cold rain and no shelter from the elements and that sucks. It would be nice to still have the smoking and non-smoking section.
But I still believe my rights end where another's begins but I don't get angry..to each his own.

I am an ex-smoker. This is a really hard question for me since I have been on both sides. My husband is currently a smoker too.
You have plenty of rights as a smoker, you even have you own section at some restaurants. However I do agree with banning smoking on school property. I don't think bars should ban smoking though. I also think that the people and their families that DO die from lung cancer or suffer smoking side effects should NOT try and sue the tobacco companies. It is your right to smoke so don't blame them when you die 20 years earlier.

I smoke and I'm currently trying to quit. I can see how this frustrates you but you have to think of it like this..........it's your habit, not everyone elses. I have lots of friends that don't smoke and I try to be considerate, even to people I don't know. Some people get lucky and don't get those problems that smoking causes, but the majority of smokers and people who are around smokers tend to have more medical problems, it's statistically proven, do your research.

OK, forget about the cancer, go to the hospital, and do chest x-ray , let us see how it looks. everyone who smokes has changes in his lung tissues in some of this people this changes convert to cancer , in other it cause some infection and other problems. but in 100% your lungs don't look like lungs of healthy people.

I am glad that your children are not even sick, but why are you bragging about trying to kill them. I suspect, based on your question, that are very rude, and don't really care about other people.
