I have the same problem. This is a consistent problem in the winter month when the heat is on which causes low humidity. If you are keeping some air heater try to avoid that or use a humidifier in the room.
Phlegm can also be due to infection, which again is rampant during winter months so either take medication or let your body do the diagnosis.
It is also a good idea to use Listerine/ salt water gargles.

Hope it helps

See a good ear, nose, throat and sinus doctor.

Have the doctor do culture of the infection and see what is the best antibiotic response, then have doctor prescribe it, two consecutive full does then 1 tablet every day for 100 days.

That should do the trick, but may need cleansing with cough medication and then allergy test and staying away from allergens and the food that is connect to the allergic response.

Gargling with salt water is the best. Put a half Tablespoon or so of salt (yes you can use table salt) into a cup of water - stir and gargle with it until it's all gone.

You didn't say if you smoke or not - but if you do - it's the #1 reason for having excessive phlegm. There can be many reasons though, so do discuss with your doctor.

There are two yogic kriyas called "gajakarni and jalaneti and sutraneti".IN gajakarni you drink six glasses of warm salt water and vomit it. In jalaneti you prepare warm salt water and put it in one nostril and it comes out through another. There are special sitting positions and containers to do this kriya.
