I'm not totally into becoming Vegan, but I think it'd be fun to try for a while.
Does anyone know of like, a list of food you can eat?

nuts, rices, legumes, beans, veggies, fruits. there is a frozen food brand called amy's and it has some very good frozen meals but they also make soups. there is vegan "butter" and vegan "ice cream". there are some great vegan cook books like how it all vegan. vegan is now a pretty easy life style to achieve, but you really have to want it. either for health reasons or for animal rights, a vegan diet is great.

The Vegan Society website will give you all the details, though not a list of things you can eat, more details of what you can't eat as a vegan.
I should warn you that it is a very strict eating regime, and not one that I would have thought you would just "try for a while for fun".
Once you realise how many foodstuffs contain some kind of animal product, whether it's cheese, butter, lactose, milk, whey, curds, honey, etc you'll realise how many things you probably eat regularly will be off the list.
Having said that, it will encourage you to be very adventurous and inventive with all the fantastic vegetables, legumes etc and you will discover some amazing new foods and tastes.

Vegan is a "no animal products what so ever" I would suggest that if you want to become a vegitarian "for kicks" that you slowly ween yourself off of meat and animal food. A true Vegan does not eat eggs, milk or milk products because it robs the animal of either life (eggs) or food (calfs).
Start out by cutting out red meat from your diet. If you can get past the dreams of hunting cows (my mother has these dreams whenever she cuts out beef from her diet, and you should hear about the ones when she cuts carbs) then cut out pork, chicken, and fish. While you are doing this you may want to add a multi-vitamin to your diet and up your intake of high protein foods like nuts, tofu and other soy products. There are also grains out there that have high protein levels like quinoa. Mix legumes (beans, peas and peanuts) with grains (rice, pasta, and breads) to get complete proteins.
For texture, ground mushrooms are very simmilar to ground meat (beef, turkey, pork) in things like Slopy Joes and chili. Eggplant and extra firm Tofu can replace chicken and pork in cubes and such.
Indian and Middle Eastern recipies are good places to start for non-meat meals. I love Curried potatoes and carrots.

Lots of soy products, beans, rice milk, vegetables and fruit, lentils, grains, and anything else that is not meat or dairy.
