I'm supposed to bring a dessert to an office dinner at my boss' house. The main course is Chicken cordon blue. Any recommendations?

Here's a recipee for a luscious, but extremely simple pie that's both rich but light:

1 can cherry pie filling
1 small container heavy whipping cream
1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
Graham cracker crust

Make the crust and refrigerate while you are making the filling. Add extracts to whipping cream and whip until firm peaks are formed. Add lemon juice to Eagle Brand Milk and stir until thickened and well blended. Add the cream mixture to the Eagle Brand Milk mixture and blend. Pour into pie crust. Top with cherry pie filling and chill until its time to go. Enjoy!

Since the main dish is a bit rich, I'd recommend something light.

Fruit sorbet or sherbet, a fruit tart or a pavlova (baked meringue topped w/ fruit), a rustic pie filled w/ plums or apples, a fruit salad or a lemon or berry cake.

It might be good to bring a baked item and some sort of easy to serve fruit like grapes, sliced pineapple, figs or sliced pears (slice them right before serving to limit browning). That way, guests who might refrain from having cake can still enjoy the fruit.

Usually when the main course is heavy (and chicken cordon belu fits in that category) dessert should be light, preferably fruit based (fruit pie, or fruit salad).

How about a fruit trifle. It would look great in a glass bowl, and wouldn't be too heavy (well, not too much!).
