well if you are having a dinner party, why didnt you figure this out earlier, besides its not till tonight so just go buy a cake from a bakery or something. better yet have the cake delivered by a high end bakery in town. or even better yet, leave work and go buy the cake or pie or whatever. if you dont have time to stop by the store, how do you have time to make a dessert anyway. ok im done.

I'll offer you the most basic (and super DELICIOUS!!) recipe I have:
Custard Pie with Homemade Whipped Cream
You need a frozen or refrigerated pie shell (or else you can make you own in about 15 min.)
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 eggs
Beat ingredients together and pour into the pie shell. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 min.
Serve topped with homemade whipped cream!
Whipped Cream Recipe-It's so EASY AND QUICK!
1 Cup of Heavy Cream
2 Tablespoons Sugar
Dash of vanialla extract
Beat together with mixer until peaks forms (you can really make this tasty by adding a splash of flavored liquer or even adding a little nutmeg!)

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aNDTF
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

I agree, we really can't answer this question without knowing what you have on-hand. If you have berries and whipped cream, you could throw those together for a little parfait, or you could do the same with almost any fruit and yogurt. You could make smoothies by putting ice and fruit in the blender. If you have apples and cinnamon, you could do baked apples. Hope these ideas help.

What do you keep on hand?
I always have fruit, instant pudding, jello and cool whip in freezer. Make parfaits with all or just with pudding or jello & cool whip.
Fresh fruit cut up with some cut up cheese and chocolates.
Apple brown betty or crumble...slice apple in baking dish or mixed fruit and blend togther brown sugar, butter(melt in micro to speed process) flour or oatmeal and vanilla and cinnamon. Toss cut fruit together with a couple spoons of sugar, cinnamon & lemon, crumble mixture over it and bake in 400 degree oven til brown & bubbly. Serve warm.
Coffee & baileys with whip cream.
Make a stop at a convenience store & get ice cream.
All depends on you.

Best Baked Apples
Serves 4
The raisins in this version of a delicious old favorite dessert make it even more special.
4 large unpeeled tart cooking apples (Rome, Granny Smith, Greening)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 Cup raisins
4 teaspoons butter or stick margarine
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Heat oven to 375
Core apples to within 1/2 inch of bottom. Peel a 1-inch strip of skin around middle of each apple, or peel upper half of each to prevent splitting. Place apples in ungreased baking dish.
Place 1 Tbsp. raisins, 1 Tbsp. sugar, 1 teaspoon butter and 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon in center of each apple. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon. Pour water into baking dish until 1/4 inch deep.
Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender when pierced with fork. (Time will vary depending on size and variety of apple.) Spoon syrup in dish over apples twice during baking if desired.

Maybe a fruit smoothie. . .They are big in my family and we have them all the time. They are quick and easy to make, too. Usually we put in bananas and strawberries (I would slice off the top of the banana first, after the peeling, of course, and that would make the bananas not have that grainy texture when you blend it) and then just throw in some canned strawberries, or fresh ones. Both are nice. Or you could use oranges and pinapples, but you would have to seed the oranges and blend a little extra (you can use canned pinapple, too). Then just add a little milk and ice to which ever one. . .It tastes great!

Baked apples filled with streusal. Core apples and set in baking pan. Mix cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, walnuts or pecans with a little vanilla. Fill each core. Put water or apple juice in the bottom of your baking pan, cover and bake until tender at 350 degrees. I love serving these with vanilla yogurt, ice cream or whipped topping.

If you are great friends with your neighbors then maybe you can ask your neighbor to make dessert for you or ask what's in his refrigerator for dessert.
If you invited close friends, pray that one of them brings a box of cheesecake. Depending on your relationship with your friends, you can ask them to bring dessert.
You might also overlook the stuff in your pantry or refrigerator... Fresh fruits, chocolates, ice cream... You probably have them.
